- Jim, In follow-up to your request this morning to validate the documentation for the transition of the Point Beach Unit 1 vessel head concern (AMS RilI-2004-A-0067) I have confirmed the following:
On May 24, Jim Heller e-mailed Greg Cwalina requesting that NRR take the lead for the total allegation due to its technical nature and the potential generic aspects of the concerns.
On May 25, Greg Cwalina responded to Jim's e-mail and acknowledged that NRR accepts the issue and requested that we send them all information we had relating to the allegation.
Jim Heller has forwarded to NRR the two letters that we sent to the licensee requesting a response to the concerned individual's issues. Jim has also forwarded NMC's responses to NRR as well.
During a recent discussion I had with NRR representatives, it was acknowledged that NRR has already attempted to contact the concerned individual and is prepared to discuss our technical position with him.
