MILLSTONE POWER STATION UNITS 2 AND 3 MODIFICATION OF REQUEST FOR IMPLEMENTATION REGARDING LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST TO ELIMINATE REQUIREMENTS FOR HYDROGEN RECOMBINERS In a letter dated September 8, 2004, Dominion Nuclear Connecticut, Inc. (DNC) requested amendments to the Technical Specifications (TS) for Millstone Power Station Units 2 and 3.
The proposed amendments delete the TS requirements related to hydrogen recombiners and hydrogen monitors. In that submittal, DNC requested approval of the license amendment by June 24, 2005 with an implementation period of 60 days. To facilitate coordination of resources in support of the upcoming Unit 3 refueling outage, NRC Fire Protection Triennial Inspection, and activities associated with this anticipated license amendment, DNC respectfully requests the license amendment to eliminate the requirements for hydrogen recombiners be made effective as of the date of issuance with completion of implementation no later than December 31, 2005.
