Dear Mr. Collins and Mr. Holian,
I am writing to request that the NRC hold additional public meetings in the lower Hudson Valley on Entergy's proposed dry cask storage system. In addition the NRC should offer a more formal process by which experts, citizens, public interest groups, and elected officials can provide meaningful input to the NRC.
?%"hiie the NRC's July 15,2004 informal public meeting allowed for statements from the public, elected officials and policy experts, a more formal hearing process will create an official record of individual comments and will uttimately result in a much more sound system of storing spent fuel at Indian Point. A formal hearing process would also allow for more detailed testimonies on site-specific issues.
