Dear Rick,
Thank you for notice of the May 9, 2005 Category I headquarters meeting with Entergy Nuclear Vermont Yankee (ENVY). I am planning to attend on behalf of New England Coalition and, as appropriate, to participate in the public portion of the meeting.
The published agenda indicates that, beyond introductory remarks by NRC, the meeting will consist of presentations by ENVY as follows: overview of technical issues overview of recent submittals, and plans going fonvard. With all due respect, this sparse agenda does not provide sufficient information to permit me to adequately prepare informed and meaningful observation or participation. I am therefore requesting that you provide, or cause ENVY to provide, a list of the "technical issues" to be covered; and a list, together ADAMS accession numbers, of the "recent submittals," for which ENVY intends to provide an, "overview." I would appreciate this information as soon as it can be gathered, today if possible, in order to allow time for me to prepare for the meeting.
In addition, I did not see Jonathan M. Block, Esq., Arnold Gundersen, or Paul M. Blanch on your distribution or copy list. Mr. Block is New England Coalition counsel; Mr. Gundersen and Mr.
Blanch are New England Coalition technical experts; all participating in the Extended Power Uprate license amendment proceedings now before the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board.
Please add them to your service list for all ENVY-related NRC notices and correspondence.
