Docket Nos. 50-336, 50-423, ASLBP No. 05-837-01-LR Suffolk County's Report to the Board, as Requested in Conference Call Honorable Sirs:

During the conference call on April 12, 2005, you requested that the parties meet and attempt to cooperatively resolve the issues, and then contact you by May 6, 2005, to report on our progress. This letter is that report on behalf of Suffolk County.

The parties have contacted each other and each has expressed a willingness to meet in Suffolk County. It is out understanding that in addition to the parties, the NRC Staff would like to bring a representative from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and/or the State Emergency Management Office.

Although a tentative date had been established for the meeting, due to scheduling difficulties, the date was postponed. The parties are attempting to reschedule the meeting and Suffolk County has just received some proposed dates.

The County is appreciative that the other parties are willing to discuss the issues and we request permission from the Board to continue this process. We request that the Board select a new reporting date.
