1R1 8 RV Head/Alloy 600 Inspection Status Attached is the last 1R1 8 RV Head Status report being provided. Most of the actions required for the RV Head/ Alloy 600 inspections are complete. The only remaining action is to complete and verify the bottom mounted nozzle inspection which is scheduled today.

May 6, 2004 - 8:00 AM 1R18 Alloy 600 Status Inspection Inspection Method Extent of Inspection 1R18 Status/ Findings BMV of RV BMV exam inside Service 100% of the RPV head surface (including 3600 CRDM nozzle BMV was performed and Review Head Structure around each head penetration). (OP 2311.009) Team review of videos complete. Inspection Complete. Videos being provided to Resident.

CRDM/ UT of 60 CRDM nozzles UT of the RPV nozzle from 2" above the highest UT scans of CRDM nozzles being finalized RADCAL (no known defects) point of the root of the J-weld to the blind zone.

Nozzle 61 UT and PT performed. No indications.

  • 14 o14 hot leg nozzles inspected locations (OP 2311.009).
  • 13 of 13 Cold Leg nozzles inspected No indications identified Boric acid inspection above the service structure completed Note 1: The freespan length below the weld has been confirmed to meet Entergy's Order Relaxation request of February 11, 2004 (CNRO-2004-0008).
