SUMMARY
OF APRIL 21, 2005, ANNUAL ASSESSMENT MEETING WITH CONSTELLATION GENERATION GROUP On April 21, 2005, at 2:00 p.m., an Annual Assessment Meeting was conducted at the Ontario Golf Club, Ontario, NY, between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Constellation Generation Group (Constellation). The NRC requested the meeting with Constellation management to discuss NRCs assessment of the safety performance of the R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant for calendar year 2004.
The NRC presented and discussed its assessment of the safety performance of Ginna for the period between January 1 through December 31, 2004. The NRC presentation included background on the plant, performance assessment results, an overview of calendar year 2005 planned inspections and oversight, and a discussion of general NRC issues. As part of this regulatory performance meeting, Constellation presented an overview of their performance.

The public observed this meeting and was offered the opportunity to communicate with the NRC regarding Constellations performance at Ginna and the role of the agency in ensuring safe plant operations. At the end of the meeting between the NRC and Constellation, the NRC answered questions from the public.
