SUMMARY

- PUBLIC MEETING - VIRGIL C. SUMMER NUCLEAR POWER STATION, DOCKET NO. 50-395

Dear Mr. Archie:

This refers to the meeting conducted at your request at our office in Atlanta, Georgia on March 31, 2005. The purpose of the meeting was for your staff to discuss major activities for the upcoming refueling outage as well as recent enhancements to your corrective action program at the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station. A list of attendees and presentation handouts are enclosed.

It is our opinion that this meeting was beneficial in that, your staff presented an informative overview of activities to be performed during the Refueling Outage 15, including major modifications on the Residual Heat Removal System and planned Inservice Inspection Activities to be conducted at the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS).
