Letter dated March 23, 2005, G02-05-057, DK Atkinson (Energy Northwest) to NRC, "Emergency Technical Specification Change Request for One-Time Extension of Completion time for Limiting Condition for Operation Condition 3.5.1.B"
Dear Sir or Madam:
With the referenced letter, Energy Northwest transmitted a license amendment request for extension to the Completion Time for condition B of Technical Specification (TS)
Limiting Condition for Operation (LCO) 3.5.1, "ECCS - Operating." This request was made as a contingency measure to avoid an unnecessary plant shutdown resulting from an inoperable High Pressure Core Spray (HPCS) System. On March 27, 2005, with repairs and operability testing completed, the HPCS System was restored to operable status within the current 14-day Completion Time. Therefore, Energy Northwest hereby withdraws the referenced license amendment request.
Energy Northwest appreciates the prompt attention of your staff to the request and regrets any inconvenience this may have caused.
