SUBJECT:

R. E. GINNA NUCLEAR POWER PLANT - CORRECTION TO AMENDMENT NO. 88 RE: INCREASED FLEXIBILITY IN MODE RESTRAINTS (TAC NO.

MC2310)

Dear Mrs. Korsnick:

On March 1, 2005, the Commission issued Amendment No. 88 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-18 for the R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant. This amendment was in response to your application dated March 1, 2004.

The amendment modifies Technical Specification (TS) requirements to adopt the provisions of Industry/TS Task Force (TSTF) change TSTF-359, Increased Flexibility in Mode Restraints.

The list of affected TS pages attached to the amendment included only those pages which were revised as a result of adopting TSTF-359. Subsequently, you notified us of your preference to issue all of the pages in a TS section, if any portion of that section is affected. Therefore, we have enclosed the TS pages for the subject amendment in their entirety. Please note that TS 3.4.16-1 was also modified by Amendment No. 87, issued on February 25, 2005. Therefore, TS 3.4.16-1, enclosed with this letter, is not identical to the page submitted with your March 1, 2004, application for amendment.

If there are any questions regarding this matter, please contact me at (301) 415-1322.

Sincerely,

/RA/
