30Qh YEAR REACTOR BUILDING TENDON SURVEILLANCE (PERIOD 8)
In accordance with TMI Unit 1 Technical Specifications (TS) 4.4.2.1.6.a, enclosed is Topical Report No. 183, Revision 0, "3 0 th Year Tendon Surveillance (Period 8)." The report includes the ISI Summary Report per IWA-6000, and the three-volume contractor (Precision Surveillance Corporation) report entitled,.a301h Year Surveillance of the Post-Tensioning System at the Three Mile Island Unit 1 Containment Building."
Our evaluation of the results from tests and inspections conducted 30 years after the initial Structural Integrity Test (SIT) demonstrate that the TMI Unit I Reactor Building post tensioning system is in good condition and capable of performing its intended function during all design basis events. The functional capability of the system remains within design limits and no abnormal relaxation of prestressing forces in the tendons has occurred.
