March 11, 2005 Mr. D. A. Grissette Vice President Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc.

Post Office Box 1295 Birmingham, Alabama 35201-1295

SUBJECT:

VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 -

CORRECTION LETTER FOR AMENDMENT NOS. 134 AND 113, RESPECTIVELY, FOR AMENDMENT ELIMINATING HYDROGEN RECOMBINERS AND HYDROGEN MONITORS (TAC NOS. MC3228 AND MC3229)

Dear Mr. Grissette:

By letter dated March 7, 2005, the Commission issued Amendment No. 134 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-68 and Amendment No. 113 to Facility Operating License No.

NPF-81 for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2, respectively. The amendments eliminated the requirements associated with hydrogen recombiners and hydrogen monitors.

During a review of the amendment package, it was noted that the cover letter contained a typographical error, specifically, the cover letter stated that the amendment was being issued for Facility Operating Licenses NPF-2 and NPF-8, for the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2. The cover letter should have stated that the letter contained Amendment No. 134 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-68 and Amendment No. 113 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-81 for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2, respectively. The typographical error was limited to the cover letter and did not affect any of the license pages or the safety evaluation contained in the amendment package. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

Sincerely,

/RA/
