Summary of EBI Findings (7-9/03)
North Anna: Green NCV issued for a main control room exhaust duct with an indeterminate fire rating.
Hatch: Green NCV for the licensee's use of manual actions instead of providing the required physical separation for fire protection. The licensee's denial of this NCV is currently under review.
Hatch: Green NCV for several examples of inadequate lighting associated with post-fire safe shutdown equipment.
Hatch: Green NCV for a manual action following a fire which the inspectors concluded was too difficult and physically unsafe. The licensee's denial of this NCV is currently under review.
Crystal River: Green NCV for failure to protect certain electrical cables associated with safe shutdown equipment from fire damage in three fire areas. (This was a closeout of a CY02 inspection open item.)
Surry: Green NCV for an inadequate EDG output breaker control circuit design. (This was a closeout of a CY 03 open item.)
