Report for Period of July 1, 2004 through December 31, 2004 TEST RESULTS Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) performs random testing of the workforce at an annual rate of at least 50 percent in accordance with 10 CFR 26.24(a)(2).
For the six-month period beginning July 1, 2004, and ending December 31, 2004 random screens were performed at a rate of 30.02% of the WCNOC population.
For the 2004 calendar year, random screens were performed on 55.12% of this population.
WCNOC submitted blind performance specimens in accordance with 10 CFR 26, Appendix A, Section 2.8(e)(2), requirements. There were no reportable events.
WCNOC Employees During this reporting period, one employee tested positive for cocaine on a random screen.
The individual's unescorted access was suspended. However, unescorted access was later terminated due to the fact the individual failed to cooperate with the reinstatement process.
Contractors One contractor tested positive for amphetamines, during this reporting period.
The individual's unescorted access was denied..
Summary of Management Actions None Fitness For Duty Program Changes No programmatic problems were identified during this reporting period. An internal QA audit K-624 was performed between November 11 - December 3, 2004. The results of the QA audit showed the program was being effectively implemented.
Events Reported In Accordance with 10 CFR 26.73 During this reporting period, no licensed operator or supervisor tested positive, and no significant FFD event reports were made.
