March 1, 2005 Mr. William T. OConnor, Jr.
Vice President - Nuclear Generation Detroit Edison Company 6400 North Dixie Highway Newport, MI 48166
SUBJECT:
REVIEW OF FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR FERMI 2 (TAC NO. MC5810)
Dear Mr. OConnor:
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with the results of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review of the facility operating license and technical specifications (TSs) for Fermi 2. The NRC is conducting a comparison of its license authority files and the licensees' records to ensure that any potential errors in the facility operating licenses and TSs are identified and corrected. The comparison of the NRC's license authority file and your records has been completed. During this review, it was observed that TS pages 3.3-7 and 3.3-9, Reactor Protection System (RPS) Instrumentation, were not updated when Amendment No. 151 was issued. The subject was promptly brought to the attention of your staff and the TS pages were corrected using your Condition Assessment Resolution Document (Corrective Action No. 05-20874). There were no other changes required for your records.
Sincerely,
/RA/
Nihar K. Ray, Project Manager, Section 1 Project Directorate III Division of Licensing Project Management Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation Docket No. 50-341 cc: See next page
