SUSQ. OPERATING EXAM COMMENTS Scenario ILO-502A 0 Re-designate as the proposed SRO scenario. Done 0 Need another TS call - the only one is in event 4. Also script out all TS calls in this scenario. Done with electrical malfunction.

0 More details on Loss of Instrument Air malfunction. Components affected and compensatory actions addressed in scenario summary also for the malfuction.

0 Add a major electrical malfunction - this should also provide an additional TS call. Done removed FW malfunction (a FW malfunction has been added to the other scenario 503A, when the applicant is assigned at the controls) and substituted electrical malfunction which also provided another TS call.

e Manually open RHR FO15B to inject is a malfunction but does not appear to be a CT.

Licensee determined was still a valid CT since CS flow by itself would inadequate to satisfy core flooding criteria in the EOPs.

Scenario ILO-503A 0

Re-designate as the proposed RO (ATC) scenario. Done 0

Delete turnover item Reactor Recirc "B" seal oscillations and alarms. Done 0 Bring in first seal failure after the control rod drift. Done 0

Add a major FW malfunction to challenge the applicants ability to operate FW. Done -

Added FW malfunction between lower and upper recirc. seal failures.

e Delete malfunction/CT to manually open RHR F015B. This does not appear to be a CT and it is redundant to scenario ILO -502A. Done 0 NOTE: 1) HERB SHOULD ENSURE DURING VALIDATION THAT NOTES ARE ADDED AND DISCUSSED WITH LICENSEE AND SRO SURROGATE THAT APPLICANT AFTER TAKING SCRAM ACTIONS SHOULD BE RE-ASSIGNED TO BOP POSITION TO ELECTRICAL, ED and OTHER MALFUNCTIONS.

2) HERB DURING VALIDATION VERIFY WITH LICENSEE THAT SECOND CT FOR THIS SCENARIO (SECURE SP SPRAY WHEN SP CHAMBER PRESSURE DROPS TO 0 PSIG).

3) Herb review audit exam and ensure our exam does not duplicate audit exam to any significant degree per Richs request.
