A partial response to the questions by the licensee is provided by the attachment to this note to file.

The questions asked were as follows:

1) When did the initial equalizing charge take place for the cell that replaced cell 41 in2D11?
2) When did the 24 hour2.777778e-4 days
0.00667 hours
3.968254e-5 weeks
9.132e-6 months
float charge begin?

RE: 2D-11 Cell 25 voltage below maintenance limit

All, The reading on 2D-11 cell 25 was 2.180 VDC as of 9:00 am Monday morning.

We will further monitor it as we perform the Weekly Test on Tuesday per Michael Gray.

2D-11 Cell 25 voltage below maintenance limit

Folks, We were performing the quarterly surveillance on 2D-11 this last Friday and found cell 25 below the maintenance limit of 2.17 VDC.

I do not the history of this cell yet, but we will follow-up Monday.

We performed the 2D-11 quarterly to satisfy a concern by the NRC on whether we had taken specific gravities on the cells since the last equalize charge after cell 41 was replaced coming up out of 2R16.

CR 2-2003-1882

During the performance of proc. 2403.024 ( 2D-11 Quarterly Surveillance ) W/O # 50571451-01, voltage on Cell # 25 was found to be at 2.166 VDC which is below the maintenance limit of 2.17 VDC. This condition report was initiated at the request of Jeff Rudder U-2 OPS for trending.
