- Linda, I wanted to give you a quick update on STP. This was a productive dayl I met with a large group of senior managers to give them the big-picture perspective, as we discussed.
They were very receptive to the observations. They were very emphatic that they are prepared to commit the resources to identify and correct their Issues In fore protection.
addition, they stated that a senior-level manager will take over this project (Steve Thomas). He plans to establish a senior-manager expert panel and a multi-disciplined working group to work on the issues.
Tom Jordan (Technical VP) said that they do not just intend to work on the specific inspection issues, but rather to take a holistic approach. He acknowledged that many of their issues relate to
~
otential spurious actuations, and that they agree to relive these and evaluate them to see if 4
they should shift to protecting the functions, rather than taking credit for manual actions.
(
We are still working down the list of specific technical issues. Some had good answers that eliminated the concern. I should have a better picture of what is left to Iddress-tomorrow-Any thoughts?
