Dear Mr. Dyer:
I received and read your one page response dated Janaury 17, 2005, to my two page letter dated August 30, 2004, regarding GDC conformance at Vermont Yankee. It had been so long since I submitted that fetter that I had to dig to the bottom of my files to retrieve it and refresh my memory.
The second page of my two-page letter (perhaps you didn't read that far) posed three questions. Neither of the two paragraphs of your one page response (which I read over and over several times) answered any of my questions or offered any reason as to why you viewed them as rhetorical and opted not to answer them.
I give up. Getting the straight scoop from you and your agency is too dog-gone difficult. What's the point of my asking you for clarification when you respond with unrelated, trite, information?
If "improving public confidence" is still an NRC goal, please put me down in the "no" column.
