RECEIPT OF MAINE YANKEE FINAL STATUS SURVEY REPORT SUPPLEMENTS 5 AND 6
Dear Mr. Meisner:
On December 7, 2004, and December 22, 2004, Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company (Maine Yankee) submitted Final Status Survey Report (FSSR) Supplements 5 and 6, respectively.
Maine Yankee has requested U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) review and acceptance of these supplements in accordance with the schedule developed in the September 9, 2004, NRC - Maine Yankee management meeting.
As stated in my letter dated November 30, 2004, due to Maine Yankees revised supplement submittal dates, revised supplement content, and the staffs continued efforts to resolve requests for additional information for Supplements 1 and 2, NRC no longer considers the schedule developed on September 9, 2004, to be applicable. The staff will review your request and provide a written response based on a revised schedule to be determined in an upcoming bi-weekly phone call.
