ORDER APPROVING APPLICATION FOR THE PROPOSED SALE OF PORTLAND GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY (PGE) TO OREGON ELECTRIC UTILITY COMPANY (OEUC), AND THE ASSOCIATED INDIRECT TRANSFER OF PGES LICENSES TO OEUC
Dear Mr. Quennoz:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has completed its review of Portland General Electric Companys (PGEs) application dated June 14, 2004, Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Nos. ML041700579 and ML041700583),
with supplemental information dated September 29, 2004, (ADAMS Accession No. ML042810230), and December 9, 2004, (ADAMS Accession No. ML0435202360), for the proposed sale of PGE to Oregon Electric Utility Company, LLC (OEUC) and the associated indirect transfer of control of PGEs licenses for the Trojan Nuclear Plant and the Trojan Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation to OEUC. Enclosed is the Order approving the indirect transfer and the Safety Evaluation Report (SER) documenting the staffs findings resulting from the review of the referenced submittals. The Order has been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of General Applicability," a copy of this letter will be available electronically in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publically Available Records (PARS) component of the NRC's document system (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
