Good morning, I am assisting Ted Smith with the review of an August 11, 2004, license amendment request from the Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company for its Haddam Neck Plant (License No. DPR-61; Docket No. 50-213). The proposed amendment would eliminate requirements that will no longer be applicable following transfer of all spent fuel from the spent fuel pool into dry cask storage at the Haddam Neck Plant Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation.
On September 28, 2004, the NRC published a proposed no significant hazards consideration determination in the Federal Register.
As we continue our review of the amendment request, we will consider any comments you have regarding the proposed issuance of the license amendment. Please let me know whether you have any comments.
