The attached monthly operating report data has also been entered into the INPO Consolidated Database for the month of October 2004 for Units 1 and 2.

SUMMARY

Unit 1 began the month of October 2004 at 100% of rated thermal power (RTP).

On October 15th at 22:35 hours, reactor power was reduced from 99.9% to 99.3% RTP because of a deficiency with the feedwater flow measurement.. Limerick submitted LER 1-04-002 concerning an overpower event discovered on September 15, 2004.

Unit 1 ended the month of October 2004 at 99.3% RTP.

SUMMARY

Unit 2 began the month of October 2004 at 98.3% of rated thermal power (RTP) in power ascension following a load drop to repair the 5A Feedwater Heater.

On October 1st at 03:58 hours, reactor power was restored to 100% RTP with the 5A Feedwater Heater removed from service.

On October 2nd at 09:07 hours, reactor power was reduced from 99.7% to 98.6% RTP for 2B Recirculation Pump MG Set maintenance. At 11:12 hours, reactor power was restored to 100% power.

On October 3rd at 09:10 hours, reactor power was reduced from 100% to 97.5% RTP for 2B Recirculation Pump MG Set maintenance. At 14:34 hours, reactor power was restored to 100% RTP.

On October 16th at 22:04 hours, reactor power was reduced from 99.1% to 71.1% RTP for channel distortion testing and removal of the 6A Feedwater Heater from service.

On October 17th at 22:29 hours, reactor power was restored to 99.9% RTP.

Unit 2 ended the month of October 2004 at 99.9% RTP.
