- Farouk, I would like to request your assistance in performing computer calculations to support our review of the Vermont Yankee power uprate license amendment request. A major issue with this review is crediting containment accident pressure in calculating the available NPSH of the ECCS pumps. There is interest in this subject from the state of Vermont and from several public stakeholders. Independent calculations would provide strong additional support for possible hearing testimony and presentations to ACRS as well as our SER. NRR would provide the necessary information via the licensee.
Your staff (Al Notafrancesco and Jack Rosenthal) has informally indicated that they could support this effort.
