Bob, Yes, there is a Vermont Yankee briefing for Commissioner Merrifield on Wednesday. However, the focus is on the 6/28 meeting with the Vermont PSB, not the NPSH issue.

Yes, I was not able to get this message out earlier.

The briefing of Merschoff (DEDO) is confirmed for tomorrow in 13B2 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.

Rich Lobel has revised his planned slides to include as a purpose for the briefing that NRR wishes to inform the EDO of status of the NPSH issue and to get agreement with the position that:

we will grant overpressure credit for NPSH when (1)a sufficiently conservative calculation shows that it is available, and (2)there is an acceptably small increase in risk. There is no consideration of the reason for requesting overpressure credit.

Rich sent the slide for Branch concurrence which I assume was obtained.
