SURRY POWER STATION UNIT 2 WITHDRAWAL OF PROPOSED EMERGENCY TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGE FOR ONE TIME EXTENSION OF THE COMPLETION TIME FOR THE LOW HEAD SAFETY INJECTION (LHSI) TRAIN B In an October 20, 2004 letter (Serial No.04-647), Dominion requested an emergency amendment of the Facility Operating License, in the form of changes to the Technical Specifications to Facility Operating License Number DPR-37 for Surry Power Station Unit 2. Surry Unit 2 entered the 72-hours Allowed Outage Time of TS 3.3.B.3 at 1157 hours0.0134 days <br />0.321 hours <br />0.00191 weeks <br />4.402385e-4 months <br /> on October 19, 2004. The proposed change requested a revision to Technical Specification (TS) 3.3.B.3 to permit a one-time 7-day Allowed Outage Time to complete the repair of a leak on the B Low Head Safety Injection pump seal package which had rendered the pump inoperable. However, maintenance activities for repair of the pump seal package were completed and the B Low Head Safety Injection Pump was returned to service at 0638 hours0.00738 days <br />0.177 hours <br />0.00105 weeks <br />2.42759e-4 months <br /> on October, 22, 2004.
Therefore, Dominion is withdrawing the proposed emergency Technical Specification change.
