PERRY NUCLEAR POWER PLANT REGULATORY PERFORMANCE MEETING

Dear Mr. Meyers:

This letter confirms the discussion between members of our staffs to have a Regulatory Performance Meeting at 6:00 p.m.(EDT) on October 28, 2004, at the Renaissance Quail Hollow Resort (Barberry Room) at 11080 Concord-Hambden Road, in Painesville, Ohio. The Meeting is open to the public and there will be an opportunity for the public to speak with NRC representatives before the meeting is adjourned.

The purpose of the Regulatory Performance Meeting is to discuss the performance trend of the Perry Nuclear Plant as well as to review your Improvement Plan. Additionally, the Meeting affords the opportunity to discuss a time-line for the Perry IP 95003.
