REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (RAIs)
RAI 4.7.5-1 In Section 4.7.5 of the LRA, the applicant stated that TLAAs applicable to the steam generators include steam generator tube flow-induced vibration (FIV). The applicant further stated that the time-dependent assumptions made in the D C Cook Unit 1 FIV calculation pertain to the tube corrosion allowance, while for the Unit 2, the assumptions made for the FIV analysis pertain to the tube wear allowance. The applicant was requested to explain why the assumptions made for the FIV analysis models are different between Unit 1 and Unit 2. The applicant was also requested to address the TLAAs on aging effects of tube wear in Unit 1 and corrosion effects in Unit 2, and to provide the necessary aging management programs for the period of extended operation.
