SEABROOK STATION, UNIT NO. 1, CORRECTION LETTER, RE: AMENDMENT NO. 97, CHANGE TO EMERGENCY POWER SYSTEMS (TAC NO. MC0635)

Dear Mr. Warner:

On September 21, 2004, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued Amendment No. 97 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-86 for the Seabrook Station, Unit No. 1 (Seabrook). The amendment revised the Technical Specifications to extend the Emergency Diesel Generator allowed outage time from 72 hours8.333333e-4 days <br />0.02 hours <br />1.190476e-4 weeks <br />2.7396e-5 months <br /> to a period of 14 days and to allow extension of the current 2-hour time requirement to 4 hours4.62963e-5 days <br />0.00111 hours <br />6.613757e-6 weeks <br />1.522e-6 months <br /> for verification of redundant component operability.

Subsequent to the issuance of the amendment, which had a 30-day implementation period, it was brought to our attention that the FPL Energery Seabrook, LLC, letter of August 25, 2003 (ML032410059), requested a 90-day implementation period which we had intended to incorporate into the amendment. Please replace the page in your copy of the amendment with the enclosed corrected page. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience that may have been caused by not including the requested implementation period.

Accordingly, the license is amended by changes to the Technical Specifications as indicated in the attachment to this license amendment, and paragraph 2.C.(2) of Facility Operating License No. NPF-86 is hereby amended to read as follows:

Technical Specifications The Technical Specifications contained in Appendix A, as revised through Amendment No. 97, are hereby incorporated in the license.

The licensee shall operate the facility in accordance with the Technical Specifications and the Environmental Protection Plan.

3.

This license amendment is effective as of its date of issuance and shall be implemented within 90 days of issuance.
