DESIGN ELECTRICAL RATING (MWe NET).

The nominal net electrical output of the unit specified by the utility and'used for the purpose of plant design.

MAXIMUM DEPENDABLE CAPACITY (MWe NET).

The gross electrical output as measured at the output terminals of the turbine generator during the most restrictive seasonal conditions minus the normal station service loads.

NUMBER OF HOURS REACTOR WAS CRITICAL.

The total number of hours during the gross hours of the reporting period that the reactor was critical.

HOURS GENERATOR ON LINE.

(Service Hours) The total number of hours during the gross hours of the reporting period that the unit operated with the breakers closed to the station bus. The sum of the hours that the generator was on line plus the total outage hours In the reporting period.

UNIT RESERVE SHUTDOWN HOURS.

The total number of hours during the gross hours of the reporting period that the unit was removed from service for economic or similar reasons but was available for operation.

NET ELECTRICAL ENERGY (MWH).

The gross electrical output of the unit measured at the output terminals of the turbine generator minus the normal station service loads during the gross hours of the reporting period, expressed in megawatt hours. Negative quantities should not be used.

SUMMARY

The unit began the month of July at a nominal 100% power level. On July 14, at approximately 01 :00, thermal power was reduced approximately 20 MWTh due to heater drain piping vibrations. At 16:48 on the same day, power level was reduced to approximately 90% to facilitate troubleshooting of a control valve.

On July 17, at approximately 21:40 (following completion of troubleshooting) power level was restored to nominal 100%. On July 18, at approximately 01:50, power level was reduced to 95% following return of the piping vibrations. After further troubleshooting, on July 18 at approximately 18:36, power level was restored to nominal 100%. On July 21, at 22:19, power level was reduced to approximately 90% following return of the piping vibrations. On July 24, after isolation of a degraded control valve In the heater drain system, power level was restored to nominal full power at 13:12. The unit remained at nominal full power forthe remainder of the month.
