Re: manitowoc county Thanks for the spreadsheet, Michelle. A couple of questions:
- 1) Need to confirm the date of the data. You mention it is 1998 data, but the date on the bottom of the spreadsheet mentions 6/99.
The data was created in 1998 via GIS - the spreadsheet was used in a report in 99. So inventory and digitizing was all done in 1998.
- 2) Does any of the info get updated? If so, which data and how often?
No the info has not been updated. Our GIS department will look into correlating this when a new flight is flown over Manitowoc County for a more accurate Inventory.
- 3) How is this data used? Does It go into a annual report? Is It published anywhere? Who is the user for this info? In other words, can it be cited and used, or is it only an internal planning tool?
This data is used to anaylize watersheds and use the amounts of landuse
I blacey Imboden - FW: Re: manitowoc countv Page 21l I Stacey Imboden FW: Re: manitowoc county
- Paae 21 to put into models that we run for sediment and phosporous runoff into lakes or streams. It is also used for town landuse planning. The data goes into our Land and Water Plan which is done every 5 years. It has not been published anywhere. Manitowoc County is the user of this info. You can site our department as the source for your use.
Again, thanks for your help.
Warren Here is the file with our 1998 inventory for landuse cover. There were 8 categories created and the inventory was done by aerial photo interpretation and conservation plans we have with landowners. It Is also broken down by township.
