Revised table for VY Relief Request RI-01
- Rick, In BVY 03-89, VY submitted a relief request which would essentially allow us to use the BWRVIP documents (most if not all have already been approved by the NRC) in lieu of various sections of the ASME code. Upon review by the Staff, it was requested that we update Table 1 in our submittal to identify which VIP document addresses each of the subject components. Accordingly, BVY 03-120, which is being forwarded to you via regular mail, contains the revised Table 1.
For your use as appropriate, I have attached the original relief request (BVY 03-89), our recent letter (BVY 03-120) including both a Word and PDF version of the subject Table. Based upon our discussions with the Technical Staff, this should address their concerns. Also, as background for you - VY is the industry lead plant for this submittal. Many BWR's have expressed the desire to submit a similar Relief Request - just wanted to make sure that you had the background.
