Lukens, Larry Friday, August 29, 2003 11:27 AM VTY - Plant; VTY - PSB Inservice Testing (IST) Program, PP 7013, Revision 13 To all personnel scheduling, performing, evaluating, or reviewing Inservice Testing (IST) surveillance tests:

The 4th Interval IST Program Plan is effective on September 1, 2003. Revision 13 of PP 7013 contains the revised IST program. Beginning September 1, all surveillance tests that satisfy IST requirements shall be performed to the requirements of the new IST program described in PP 7013, Revision 13.

The most noticeable day-to-day change is that all surveillance test forms that satisfy IST requirements shall contain the printed name and signature of the person performing the test and the printed name and signature of the person evaluating the results. Failure to comply with this requirement is a violation of ASME Code.

Certain pump tests have changed effective September 1. The procedures that perform these tests have been changed as required. Procedure changes will be phased in as the tests become due.

All Class 2 & 3 relief valve testing shall be performed to the requirements of the new Code, as described in the revised OP 4261. If in doubt concerning relief valve testing, contact Larry Lukens (x3131) or Rich Booth (x5744) for assistance.
