Engineering Request Process Goes Live Importance:
High On Monday January 26, 2004 Phase One of the Engineering Request (ER) process goes live. This process will be used to request and grade/prioritize all Engineering products and services. The flowchart below illustrates the steps associated with the ER process. Phase One consists of the following three procedures.
ENN-DC-1 12 ER and Project Initiation Process ENN-DC-113Grading ENN-DC-1 14 Project Management Information Technology has completed rolling out the Engineering Request software. You can find the software 'Nuclear Corporate Applications - VTY" on the menu bar. Training was provided this past December. Additional training will be offered during February for those that were not able to attend.
As part of the roll out of Phase One the Site Modification Review Committee (SMRC) procedure (AP 0051) and the VY Long Range Plan procedure (AP 0059) will be cancelled. SMRC will be replaced with the Engineering Request Review Group (ERRG) and the Modification/Project Review Committee (MPRC). Although different In name, these two new groups are very similar to SMRC. The roles and responsibilities of these groups are discussed in the ER procedures listed above as well as in the fleet Long-Range Planning / Life Cycle (Asset) Management procedure (ENN-PL-1 70).
Finally, the following procedures are being revised to replace references to the SMRC process with the Engineering Request Process and ERRG/MPRG as applicable. This e-mail satisfies the Training requirement for these procedure changes. If you have any questions associated with the Engineering Request process, please contact Dick January (ext. 5657), Tim Drouin (ext. 3160), or Mike Smaga (ext. 3076).
