Dear Senator Jeffords:

On behalf of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), I am responding to your letter of June 23, 2004, in which you forwarded letters from the Town of Westminster, Vermont, and the Town of Wardsboro, Vermont. These letters express the views of these communities regarding the proposed power uprate at Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station. We received the letter from the Town of Westminster directly and responded by letter dated June 16, 2004 (enclosed).

We had not received the letter directly from the Town of Wardsboro and we thank you for bringing it to our attention. We will respond directly to their Town Selectboard.
