REVIEW OF UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA REACTOR FACILITY EMERGENCY PLAN REVISIONS On April 19, 2004 Paul E. Benneche, Reactor Supervisor/Acting Director, University of Virginia Reactor Facility, submitted revisions to the University of Virginia Reactor Facility Emergency Plan under 10 CFR 50.54(q). In the letter, the licensee stated that the changes do not decrease the effectiveness of the plan.

There were multiple changes in this revision, a number of which were regarding the Emergency Plan Implementing Procedures and not subject to review. The other changes were verified not to reduce the effectiveness of the plan. They reflect updates, editorial changes, and reformatting in accordance with regulations and guidance. Unnecessary information was removed and information was revised and reorganized to reflect the present decommissioning condition and radiological risk of the facility. The review of these changes indicates that they are in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q).

This completes the review of this revision to the emergency plan.
