DEFERRAL OF REVIEW OF LICENSING ACTIONS FOR PEACH BOTTOM ATOMIC POWER STATION, UNITS 2 AND 3
Dear Mr. Crane:
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that review of your requests listed in the Enclosure to this letter are being deferred until the beginning of fiscal year 2005 which starts October 1, 2004. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is deferring review of these actions to support the review of security plan, safeguard contingency, and security personnel training and qualification plan changes, required by an April 29, 2003, Commission Order. Deferred licensing actions that were submitted on multiple Exelon dockets will be addressed by separate correspondence.
I have discussed the deferral of these actions with Mr. Doug Helker of your staff.
Please inform us immediately if circumstances change with regard to the impact on your ability to safely operate your facility as a result of the deferral of these actions. I can be reached at (301) 415-1494.
