July 1, 2004 Mr. Karl W. Singer Chief Nuclear Officer and Executive Vice President Tennessee Valley Authority 6A Lookout Place 1101 Market Street Chattanooga, TN 37402-2801

SUBJECT:

SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 2 - REVIEW OF SPRING 2002 CYCLE 11 REFUELING OUTAGE STEAM GENERATOR INSPECTION REPORTS (TAC NO. MB7508)

Dear Mr. Singer:

By letters dated May 8, July 28, and August 5, 2002, and May 5, 2003, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) submitted reports summarizing the steam generator tube inspections performed during the Cycle 11 refueling outage in spring 2002. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) formally reviews all steam generator inspection summary reports submitted by licensees in accordance with the plants technical specification requirements. The NRC staff has reviewed these steam generator inspection reports and has concluded that TVA has provided the necessary information required by your technical specifications and that there are no items required for follow-up actions.

Sincerely,

/RA/

Robert J. Pascarelli, Project Manager, Section 2 Project Directorate II Division of Licensing Project Management Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation Docket No. 50-328 cc: See next page
