Dear Mr. Solymossy:
This letter refers to an investigation conducted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of Investigations (OI) to determine if a radiation protection technician was discriminated against for raising safety issues related to (1) the condition of rubber boots used for protective clothing, and (2) contamination in the reactor coolant pump vaults. Based on the evidence developed during the investigation, we did not substantiate the issue. The synopsis from the OI report of investigation is enclosed.

SYNOPSIS This investigation was initiated by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Office of Investigations, Region III, on August 18, 2003, to determine whether a Radiation Protection Technician for Bartlett Nuclear at the Prairie Island Nuclear Station was discriminated against for raising safety concerns.
Based on the evidence developed, this investigation did not substantiate that the Radiation Protection Technician was discriminated against for raising safety concerns.
