'Kewaunee Nuclear Power Plant 2001 In-service Inspection (ISI)
Summary Report' In Reference 1, Nuclear Management Company, LLC (NMC) submitted the Kewaunee Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP) 2001 refueling outage In-service Inspection (ISI) results.
This letter is to notify the NRC of an administrative error contained In the Reference I report. The error does not change the results of the inspection effort or the conclusions.
Included as an attachment to the ISI Summary Report letter was a copy of report form, "Form NIS-2 Owner's Report For Repairs Or Replacement," for valve number RHR-400A. The form signifies that an ISI inspection was completed on the valve following repairs to the valve. The description of work on the form signified that the valve was opened for maintenance on internal components, according to plant work order (WO) number 01-007185, to address possible disc to seat galling.
While making preparation for the KNPP Fall 2004 refueling outage, it was discovered that WO #01-007185 is scheduled to be performed. After the discovery, it was determined that the work assumed to have occurred in the 2001 refueling outage was not actually conducted.
Although the work had not been performed during the 2001 refueling outage, the ISI of the valve boundaries was performed as reported. This letter is being provided to correct the fact of the erroneously reported work activity.
