PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS THE CONFIRMATORY ACTION LETTER INSPECTION RESULTS FOR POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT
Dear Mr. Van Middlesworth:
This letter confirms the discussion between Mr. Michael Kunowski of the NRC staff, and Ms. Fritzie Flentje of the Nuclear Management Company (NMC), to have a meeting at 3:00 p.m. (CDT) on Friday, June 25, 2004, at Fox Hills Resort, 250 W. Church Street, Mishicot, Wisconsin 54228.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss NMCs progress in addressing commitments pertaining to the Confirmatory Action Letter issued on April 21, 2004. These discussions will include observations from an NRC special inspection to be conducted from June 7-11, 2004.
The special inspection will review selected Confirmatory Action Letter commitment items to assess NMCs progress in effecting improvements at Point Beach. A discussion will also be held regarding Point Beach station performance during the recent Unit 1 refueling outage. The meeting is open to the public and there will be an opportunity for the public to speak with NRC representatives before the meeting is adjourned.
