2 Prior to generator on-line, plant procedures required a manual scram due to plant high turbine vibration.

Summary: The Unit 1-13 Refueling Outage end date was April 23,2004.

 • On 4/21/04, prior to generator being placed on-line during plant start-up, excessive turbine vibrations developed due to a shaft "rub". The plant procedures required that a manual scram be performed prior to breaking condenser vacuum to slow the turbine down. The scram was initiated while at 14.5% power. No maintenance activities were required and subsequent turbine/generator start-up was successful. Breaker was closed at 10:36 on 4/23/04 and 100% power was achieved on 4/28/04.

152,151,885 NOTES:

The 2004 Monthly Operating Report for January 2004 stated an incorrect value of 838,588 net electrical energy generated (MWH). The correct value was 875,168 MWH. A similar item was identified for January 2003 overstating the actual production by 7,640 MWH.

The April Yr-to-date and cumulative data for April, 2004 incorporates the correct values for January 2003 and 2004.

The electronic Consolidated Data Entry (CDE) adjustments have been completed for Jan, Feb and March of 2004.

No NRC Performance Indicators are impacted by this correction.

No shutdowns this month.

Summary: On 4/28/04 Reactor power was rapidly reduced to 80% power due to the loss of a plant equipment electrical transformer. The power loss impacted condenser air removal capability, causing turbine back pressure to increase.

Alternate equipment was put in service and condenser pressure was stabilized. 100% power was restored within 3 hours3.472222e-5 days
8.333333e-4 hours
4.960317e-6 weeks
1.1415e-6 months
of the downpower.
