OF CLOSED MEETING HELD ON MAY 25, 2004, WITH NUCLEAR MANAGEMENT COMPANY, LLC TO DISCUSS PROPRIETARY INFORMATION RELATED TO IMPROVING REFUELING EFFICIENCIES AT THE NMC SITES (TAC NOS. MC3063 AND MC3064)
On May 25, 2004, representatives of Nuclear Management Company, LLC (NMC) met with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff to discuss proprietary material related to improving refueling efficiencies at the NMC sites.
NMC discussed the US Fuel suppliers and the current issues associated with development and maintenance of viable fuel supply for all NMC plants, and provided an overview of their objectives. The meeting continued with different presentations of the proprietary material from representatives of NFI, Iberinco and CKA Associates. The staff discussed the general review and approval process at the agency and discussed their concerns on the presented material.
Following the meeting, the NRC staff expressed its appreciation to NMC for the presentation, and NMC also expressed their appreciation to the NRC staff for the feedback they provided.
NMC is going to discuss their future plans internally, and make any submittals as they may deem necessary.
An attendance list is provided in the attachment. The non-proprietary slides used during the meeting are available in ADAMS under accession number ML041380378.
