June 15, 2004 Mr. Joseph M. Solymossy Site Vice President Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant Nuclear Management Company, LLC 1717 Wakonade Drive East Welch, MN 55089
SUBJECT:
PRAIRIE ISLAND NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 -
CORRECTION TO AMENDMENT NOS. 161 AND 152 (TAC NOS. MB7818 AND MB7819)
Dear Mr. Solymossy:
On February 3, 2004, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued Amendment No. 161 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-42 and Amendment No. 152 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-60 for the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2, respectively. The amendments revised Technical Specification Section 5.5.9, Ventilation Filter Testing Program (VFTP), to (1) incorporate filter test face velocity limits for the control room special ventilation system, auxiliary building special ventilation system, spent fuel pool special and inservice purge ventilation system, and shield building ventilation system; and (2) make editorial changes. The amendments also deleted additional conditions that were previously added to Appendix B of Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-42 and DPR-60 by Amendment Nos. 158 and 149.
The purpose of this letter is to correct a typographical error on page B-3 of Appendix B to Facility Operating License No. DPR-42, which incorrectly listed the amendment number of the first condition shown as 1758" instead of 158." A corrected page B-3 is enclosed.
Additionally, page 2 of Amendment Nos. 161 and 152 inadvertently omitted the paragraph indicating that the additional conditions of Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-42 and DPR-60 were revised through Amendment Nos. 161 and 152, respectively. A corrected page 2 for each amendment is enclosed.
Please replace the corresponding pages with the enclosed corrected pages. If you have any questions, please call me at 301-415-8371.
Sincerely,
/RA/
