JWill elective maintenance be performed on SEPS during the proposed extended EDGAOT?
In accordance with the provisions of IOCFR50.65(a)(4), elective maintenance will not be performed on the Supplemental Emergency Power System (SEPS) during the proposed extended Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) Allowed Outage Time (AOT). Elective maintenance does not include routine surveillance actions such as checking for correct oil level. In addition, Station personnel will be made aware whenever the SEPS is being relied on as a power supply during an extended EDG AOT.
Will elective maintenance be performed on the 345 KV system during the proposed extended
__EDGAOT?
In accordance with the provisions of 10CFR50.65(a)(4), during an extended EDG AOT, elective maintenance will not be performed on the 345 KV system that would challenge the availability of the offsite power supply to supply power to the emergency busses.
How will the condition of the grid be evaluated prior to removing an EDGfromn service for an extendedAOT?
In accordance with the provisions of 10CFR50.65(a)(4), the grid dispatcher will be contacted and the condition of the grid evaluated prior to removing an EDG from service for an extended AOT for elective maintenance. An extended EDG AOT will not be entered to perform elective maintenance when grid stress conditions are considered high as indicated by system dispatcher notification of entry into a degraded grid procedure.
