Dear Ms. Copeland:

On behalf of the staff at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), I wanted to express our sincere appreciation for your assistance in supporting the recent public meetings on Tennessee Valley Authority license renewal application for the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant, Units 1, 2, and 3. Your support in providing meeting space at your facility for our review team greatly assisted the teams efforts. We also appreciated the support you provided for receipt, storage, and return shipping of our meeting supplies.

The NRC staff intends to hold a second public meeting to discuss the draft environmental impact statement related to the Browns Ferry license renewal application in early 2005. We look forward to your support and the opportunity to work with you and your staff again. If you have any questions on this matter, please contact me at (301) 415-1191 or via electronic mail at mtm2@nrc.gov.

Sincerely,

/RA/
