The Wendell, Massachusetts Selectboard urges you to order an independent engineering assessment before an uprate for the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Facility is considered. We, and all our neighbors, deserve the respect of a through independent assessment.
Entergy's 20% uprate request, the maximum uprate permitted, is unprecedented for an aging reactor. An independent analysis of the reactor must assure that it could meet present day requirements for safe operation.
Sincerely, The Wendell Selectboard Thoor eisCritn Hear DailKle Theodore LeAris Christine Heard Daniel Keller
