Dear Chairman Diaz:
The Montague Selectboard is responsible for the health and safety of its citizens. Montague is located 20 miles from the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Plant and would potentially be affected by hazards resulting from it. We urge that an independent safety assessment be undertaken 'prior to a proposed 20% increase in energy producing capacity.
