' Dominion- Memorandum March 29, 2004 To: Richard Emch U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission One White Flint North 11555 Rockville Pike Rockville, Maryland 20852-27 8 From: Richard Gallagher Dominion Millstone Power Station License Renewal Project Document Pertaining to Wintcr Flounder By telephone conference on Monday, March 22, 2004, you requested documents pertaining to the study of the winter flounder population in the area around Millstone. On March 25, 2004, those documents were sent to you.

As you will recall, one of the documents requested was a 1993 feasibility study of cooling water system alternatives. Because the purpose of the request was to facilitate research on the topic of winter flounder, Dominion Nuclear Connecticut is also sending a more recent study, "Millstone Power Station: An Evaluation of Cooling Water System Alternatives," which was submitted to the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection in August, 2001. This study contains a comprehensive evaluation of the winter flounder population, and DNC feels it would be helpful in your evaluation of this subject. A copy of this package is being sent to Ted Doerr at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Should you have any questions regarding this submittal or any other matter, please contact me at 860-447-1791, extension 3876.
