Richard Gallagher Dominion Millstone Power Station License Renewal Project Request for Documents Pertaining to WAinter Flounder By telephone conference on Monday, March 22, 2004, you requested the following documents, which pertain to the study of the winter flounder population in the area around Millstone:

"Monitoring the Marine Environment of Long Island Sound at Millstone Power Station, Waterford, Connecticut, Annual Report 2002;"

  • "Report to Millstone Environmental Laboratory, Ecological Advisory Committee, Analysis of winter flounder larvae, by Dr. J. Crivello, University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT, February 12, 2002;
  • Feasibility Study of Cooling Water System Alternatives to Reduce Winter Flounder Entrainment at Millstone Units 1, 2, & 3, January 1993.

Enclosed, please find the above materials. These documents are publicly available, and are being provided at your request. In addition, an update to the Crivello report, entitled "Characterization of winter flounder (Pseudopleuronectes americanus) larval genetic stock structure within eastern Long Island Sound: estimation of larval entrainment and recruitment,"

was submitted to the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection on September 11, 2003. A copy of that report is enclosed for your information.

A copy of this entire package is being sent to Ted Doerr at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
